SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Vice President (VP) of Managed Care is a senior executive responsible for leading all aspects of payer contracting, reimbursement strategy, and managed care relationships. This role drives financial performance through effective negotiation, optimization of value-based agreements, and alignment with organizational strategic goals across clinical, operational, and financial domains.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
- Bachelors degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or related field required
- 1015+ years of progressive experience in managed care, payer contracting, or healthcare finance
- 3-5 years of management experience
- Extensive experience negotiating complex payer contracts
- Exposure to value-based care and alternative payment models
- Experience in hospital systems, integrated delivery networks (IDNs), or large physician organizations preferred
