Job Description:
The Imaging Operations Manager works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Imaging Services to maintain operations at an effective and efficient status. The Manager will direct, supervise and coordinate the overall operations of patient services and monitor performance, taking appropriate action to produce desired results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides leadership, staff development, and management of key functions in order to provide high quality patient care.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the team to arrange tasks, people, and other resources to accomplish work.
- Monitor daily activities of staff.
- Monitor weekly overtime reports of staff and prepares payroll summaries semi-monthly for Payroll department.
- Reviews weekly schedules to ensure patient schedules are in accordance with each site's requirements.
- Conducts monthly staff meetings to review issues, train staff and disseminate information obtained from management.
- Attends monthly operations manager meetings and advises Director of issues to be addressed. Also attends other meetings as required.
- Assures that all staff are properly cross trained to fill in as necessary within each site or as required by management.
- Evaluates staffing needs and makes recommendations.
- Routinely rounds on staff and patients in clinics, soliciting feedback on needs and offering support as needed.
- Establishes a culture of accountability, praise, and recognition.
- Routinely reviews reports/audits, etc. to ensure that key performance indicators are met.
- Delegates to and follows up on delegated tasks to AOM/Team lead.
- Investigates and resolves patient/staff events in a timely manner.
- Maintains competencies in the event they need occurs to assist in staffing and/or training.
- Creates and maintains an environment of trust, integrity, open communication, teamwork, and respect.
- Participates in projects or committees in support of the organization's strategic initiatives and priorities.
- Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment, high quality patient care, and patient/employee satisfaction.
- Serves as liaison between patient services staff and clinical/tech staff, as well as insurance and billing staff.
- Responsible for payroll, annual evaluations, and counseling and/or disciplinary process with all front office staff.
- Reviews weekly requests of time off and coordinates coverage for open positions or covers positions in the event of necessity.
- Supports and communicates TNONC strategic goals and priorities to front office staff.
- Responsible for disseminating results of employee engagement to staff and oversight of action planning efforts to improve scores.
- Responsible for reviewing and analyzing patient satisfaction scores and developing action plans.
- Displays interpersonal skills required by exercising judgment and discretion when dealing with patients, staff, and physicians.
- Supports and adheres to Tennessee Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Conduct and Business Standards.
Is responsible for all outside vendor requirements, such as building maintenance, supplies, telephone service, cleaning services, as well as all equipment needs and repairs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three years medical office management experience overseeing and managing aspects of private practice in an outpatient medical clinic; preferably with Oncology/Hematology knowledge.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree or higher preferred.
- Experience with healthcare clinic policies and procedures required
- Excellent management and leadership skills
- Hands-on knowledge of both front & back-office functions
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be willing and able to lift to 25 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to travel to clinics when necessary.
