We are currently hiring an Admissions Coordinator to join our Admissions Team!

Job Description:

Responsible for the overall coordination of inpatient referrals including but not limited to: gathering and reviewing all medical, social and financial information in order to determine the appropriateness for admission to St. Camillus while making every effort to maintain a full census; ensuring census activity is accurate and timely; updating electronic medical record relevant to new admissions; insurance verification and authorization maintaining ongoing communication with the admissions team and the nursing units; coordinating the daily activities of the Intake Screeners and Admissions Representatives.

Qualifications:

The position prefers a NYS RN or LPN License with experience in care coordination responsibilities; knowledge of third-party payor regulations, including Medicare and Medicaid; experience reviewing electronic medical records to extrapolate and analyze relevant information and make decisions based on this review; and strong verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills; and must have a valid NYS Driver License. This position would require travel to area hospitals as needed for screening and community engagement.
