FQHC in western Massachusetts is seeking a Chief Medical Officer. The desired candidate will focus on leading and providing clinical direction for the organization. This is a well-established and highly esteemed practice that has been part of the community for over 40 years. This is a eight provider practice along with several other health professionals. There are eight practice sites and two mobile health units. Clinical plus leadership role. Base salary up to $275,000. 2 days per week dedicated to clinical practice. 3 days per week focused on administrative and leadership responsibilities. The CMO collaborates with and assists the Chief Executive Officer and members of Senior Leadership in the mission, vision, and values, effectively operating the health center, and implementing CHP's strategic plan. The CMO oversees and directs patient access, patient care, clinician well-being, and clinician engagement.. The CMO advocates for clinicians and patients and provides a clinical perspective and leadership to support delivery of patient-centered, cost-effective care, including improved health care access and health outcomes. With other members of management. he CMO ensures that clinicians and care teams are efficient and productive with an emphasis on developing and sustaining a culture of continuous improvement. The CMO communicates the clinical vision and strategy to clinicians, staff, the Board of Directors and outside organizations. The CMO ensures that appropriate clinical controls and oversight to effectively achieve clinical and access goals and objectives, and is an advocate for compliance, quality, and safety.. The CMO balances their role as an advocate for clinicians with the responsibility to support and collaborate with administrative peers, ensuring that both clinical excellence and organizational goals are achieved at the health center. Finally, this role ensures high-quality, patient-centered, cost-effective care while promoting financially sustainable clinical operations..
