Job Description

The Insurance and Scheduling Coordinator provides administrative and front desk supervisory level support in a surgery outpatient ambulatory care, and related center under the supervision of the service area manager. Responsibilities may include overseeing the pre-registration and insurance verification process, financial procedures and related workflow including patient account management from admission to discharge. Responsible for continues process improvement and quality assurance.

Qualifications
  • Required: High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Preferred: Associates Degree
  • Required: 3-5 years
  • Preferred: 5-7 Years

3-5 years of experience working in a fully cross-functional team as an Insurance/Scheduling Specialist or comparable or higher role including two years in the same or similar service to the one assigned. Previous experience in a medical setting preferably in a supervisory role. Medical terminology required. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiar with computer operations. Must be detail oriented and have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees and the public.
