Summary Serves as the central coordination point for medical equipment across the region, ensuring timely access, optimal utilization, and cost-effective deployment of assets. This role is responsible for locating, reallocating, transferring, and supporting the disposition of medical equipment, while partnering closely with Asset Management, BioMed, and Disinfection & Distribution (D&D) teams to enable safe and efficient patient care operations. Responsibilities:

Equipment Coordination & Support

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for locating equipment not readily available within a unit or through established distribution channels

  • Coordinate interfacility and intra-facility equipment transfers, as applicable

  • Facilitate timely delivery, retrieval, and redistribution of equipment across departments

  • Support unit moves, expansions, and changing operational needs

  • Act as a liaison between clinical departments and support teams to address equipment needs

Asset Utilization & Cost Management

  • Evaluate alternatives to rental equipment by identifying available owned assets

  • Partner with Asset Management to minimize unnecessary rental spend and support cost-reduction initiatives

  • Promote effective utilization of existing equipment prior to new purchases

  • Identify underutilized or excess equipment for potential redeployment

Systems & Data Management

  • Utilize asset tracking systems (e.g., Encompass) to locate and track equipment

  • Support visibility and accuracy of equipment data in collaboration with BioMed

  • Assist with reporting and tracking equipment utilization trends

Disposition & Lifecycle Support

  • Assist with equipment removal and disposition workflows

  • Coordinate movement of equipment designated for redeployment, resale, or recycling

  • Ensure appropriate communication and coordination with BioMed for clinical clearance

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with clinical staff, BioMed, Asset Management, Field Service, Sales, and other support teams to resolve operational and technical issues

  • Manage multiple tasks and projects with minimal supervision while meeting established timelines

Compliance & Quality Requirements

  • Adhere to all applicable Quality Management System (QMS), regulatory, and company policies

  • Complete required Quality & Compliance training within established deadlines

  • Identify and promptly report quality or compliance concerns

  • Maintain adherence to privacy, anti-competition, and regulatory standards (including HIPAA)

  • Follow all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures

  • Support continuous process improvement and standardization initiatives

Qualifications:

Education

  • Associate or bachelors degree preferred (Healthcare Administration, Operations, Business, or related field)

Experience

  • Experience in healthcare operations, logistics, equipment coordination, or asset management strongly preferred

  • Experience with RFID or asset tracking systems preferred

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Microsoft Excel

  • Customer-focused mindset with strong service orientation

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

  • May require coordination across multiple facilities or departments

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
