We are launching a brand-new OB-GYN Hospitalist program at Sequoia Hospital and are seeking an experienced OB-GYN Hospitalist Medical Director to lead the development and long-term success of this program. Medical Director Role Overview

As Medical Director, you will serve as the clinical leader and architect of this new OB-GYN Hospitalist program. You will partner closely with hospital leadership and Stanford-affiliated specialists to ensure a high-performing, collaborative, and patient-centered service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the OB-GYN hospitalist team
  • Lead program development , including workflows, protocols, and team culture
  • Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and community OB/GYNs
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of hospitalist providers
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices

Clinical Practice Highlights

  • Schedule: 24-hour, in-house shifts

    • OB and GYN triage and surgery

Qualifications

What Were Looking For

  • Board-certified OB-GYN
  • Active California license (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience
  • Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Passion for building programs, mentoring providers, and driving clinical excellence

Benefits and Compensation

Pay Range Based on Hours: Annual compensation is $296,400 - $416,100. Medical Director stipend is $25,000.

Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis. Regular full-time team members are eligible for the following:

NOTE: Team members at least 21 years old and are active full-time or part-time employee are eligible to participate in our 401(k) Plan at the time of hire. Team members who meet the plans minimum age requirement can enroll in the plan at any time, and contributions will begin as soon as administratively possible.

Team Members are eligible to begin participating in the ESPP if they have been employed by Pediatrix for two consecutive months prior to the start of each calendar quarterly offering period and are scheduled to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for five consecutive months during the year.

Paid Sick Leave :

Eligible full-time team members will receive a lump-sum grant of 40 hours or five days, whichever is more beneficial to the team member, of paid sick leave each year on January 1. A newly hired full-time team member will receive a prorated lump-sum grant after working for 90 days. A lumpsum grant will then be provided on January 1 in each subsequent year as long as the team member remains eligible. Unused sick leave granted under this policy does not carry over from one year to the following year.

NOTE: The Company will not pay team members for unused sick leave upon termination of employment.
