VP of Clinical Operations

Vaco has partnered with a growing healthcare organization to identify a Vice President of Clinical Operations who will provide executive leadership for clinical performance, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives across a multi-site region. This individual will serve as a strategic business partner to regional and corporate leadership, driving operational excellence, enhancing patient outcomes, and supporting continued organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead regional clinical teams and provide mentorship, guidance, and accountability for clinical leadership staff
  • Develop and execute strategies that improve patient care, operational efficiency, and quality outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards across all locations
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing data and performance metrics to drive results
  • Partner with executive leadership to align clinical operations with organizational objectives and growth initiatives
  • Oversee survey preparedness efforts and support successful regulatory and accreditation reviews
  • Monitor clinical performance trends and implement action plans to address opportunities and risks
  • Promote a culture centered on accountability, collaboration, patient satisfaction, and clinical excellence
  • Support budget planning, resource allocation, and operational decision-making within the region

Qualifications

  • Active RN license in good standing required
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field required; advanced degree preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within hospice, home health, or post-acute care settings
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality management, and accreditation standards
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed clinical teams and managing multi-site operations
  • Proven ability to improve performance outcomes through strategic planning and process improvement
  • Strong business acumen with experience utilizing data and metrics to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to travel throughout the region as needed
