Patient Services Representative

Position Overview Join our Population Health team as a Patient Services Representative, where every interaction is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact because every connection matters. You will serve as a vital link between patients, providers, and care teams, ensuring each person feels supported, informed, and connected throughout their care journey.

In this role, you will schedule appointments, verify insurance, coordinate referrals, and manage patient communications across multiple channels. You will also support community-focused initiatives, including assembling kits for Public Health and Harm Reduction Vending Machines and contributing to Feed the Need food insecurity programming. You will maintain accurate records and collaborate closely with clinical teams to improve health outcomes. We are seeking someone with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping others.

Summit Building, UHS Binghamton General Campus, Binghamton, NY
UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY


There is more than one location associated with this position. This is either because there are multiple openings at different sites, or the successful candidate will be required to float across multiple UHS facilities. Your recruiter and hiring manager will clarify expectations during the interview process.

Work Shift and Schedule:

This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

Compensation Range:

$17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience

This position is not eligible for benefits.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Computer and customer service skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior Health care experience and CPR.
