We have a current opening for a Yard Operations Coordinator in our Irving, TX office.

The Yard Operations Coordinator will assist the Royal Electric team

Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:

  • Experience with Heavy equipment- Skid Steers, Skip Loaders, Forklifts, Dozers, Excavators
  • Experience with small equipment - pressure washers, trenchers, compressors, generators, vacuum excavator.
  • Assist with loading and unloading equipment from various trailers.
  • Operate and maintain various hand tools and power equipment.
  • Troubleshoot various issues with small tools.
  • Maintain small tool records by recording calibrations and repairs.
  • Work with the field to order and deliver tools and equipment
  • Coordinate and track the usage of small tools
  • Identify and gather proper materials needed to perform tasks
  • Adhere to budget when ordering small tools.
  • Clean and maintain shop and outdoor areas, including parking lot and side fences.
  • Mange the look, appearance and arrangement of equipment in the yard.
  • Ensure that equipment is properly tagged: 1. Ready to be issued 2. Returned and needs to be inspected 3. Down for repairs.
  • Assist with basic maintenance.
  • Ensure proper disposal of waste and debris.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a Heavy Equipment yard preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power equipment used in construction and the electrical industry.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and maintain certification.
  • Must have valid Class C drivers license with a clean DMV.
  • Proper use of PPE
  • Must comply with all safety standards and procedures
  • Promote safety and actively participate in safety meetings
  • Speaks up when identifying an unsafe working condition or practice.

Salary Range:

  • $20.00/hour - $25.00/hour
    • This is non-exempt position
