Job Description:

Location: 1 Doctor's Park Drive, Asheville, NC

Shift: Mon-Fri 8am -5pm

  • Leads and mentors clinical staff, providing educational resources and support. Participates in interviewing applicants and provides feedback to the hiring manager.

  • Provides information to supervisors for employee performance evaluations. Schedules and assigns clinical staff to maintain workflow and complete daily tasks.

  • Escorts patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measures vital signs, and documents information in patient charts.

  • Ensures all reports, labs, and information are filed and available in patients medical records before appointments.

  • Provides instructions to patients as directed by the provider and explains procedures and treatments.

  • Ensures consents for treatment are executed according to guidelines. Manages stocking of exam rooms with medical supplies and maintenance/sterilization of equipment and instruments.

  • Supervises all logs and required checks to ensure regulatory compliance. Communicates effectively with providers, clinical workers, patients, and front office staff. Collaborates with team members to ensure the practice meets all regulatory requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and composure with the ability to take appropriate action in questionable or emergency situations. [Required]
Must be willing to float to other healthcare facilities within reason when patient load, vacation schedules, etc., make it necessary. [Required]
Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking, and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. [Required]

Education:
Associate's of Nursing [Required]
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Technical/Vocational School [Required]

Field of Study:

Work Experience:
2+ experience with computers. [Required]
2+ medical office experience [Required]
