Nursing Administrator $130,000-$160,000 Reports To: Vice President of Health Services Position Summary Under the guidance of the Vice President of Health Services, the Health Services Administrator (HSA) is responsible and accountable for the occupancy, operations, and regulatory compliance of Broadmead's continuum of licensed health services. This includes Skilled Nursing Care, Long-Term Care, and Assisted Living neighborhoods. The HSA provides leadership to ensure high-quality resident care, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and continuous performance improvement across all licensed care environments. Key Responsibilities Operational & Regulatory Leadership Provide overall leadership and accountability for the daily operations of licensed care neighborhoods. Ensure full compliance with all Broadmead policies, as well as Maryland and Federal regulations, licensing standards, and survey readiness requirements. Oversee occupancy management and operational effectiveness across the continuum of care. Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement Lead and maintain the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program within licensed care neighborhoods. Analyze trends, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Risk Management & Incident Reporting Ensure appropriate and timely management of incident reporting through the PEER system. Monitor, investigate, and respond to incidents to mitigate risk and support resident safety. Program Development Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services that support comprehensive care, assisted living, and person-centered outcomes. Support initiatives related to cognitive care programming and specialized resident needs. Financial & Administrative Oversight Oversee financial operations, including budgeting, staffing models, and cost controls. Ensure responsible management of resources while maintaining quality outcomes and regulatory compliance. Leadership & Collaboration Provide strong leadership to interdisciplinary teams. Collaborate with residents, families, colleagues, executive leadership, and board members to support Broadmead's mission and values. Education & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in a health-related field Current Maryland Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) License Current Maryland Assisted Living Manager Certificate Preferred 5-10 years of experience in a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) environment Background and certifications in caring for individuals with cognitive challenges Knowledge & Expertise State and Federal regulations governing nursing homes and assisted living facilities CMS/Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement systems Financial operations, including budgeting, staffing, and accounting OSHA, MOSHA, HIPAA, Corporate Compliance, COMAR, and applicable Maryland standards Supervisory, management, and leadership principles Geriatric care methodologies and health care terminology Medical supplies, materials management, and purchasing procedures Conflict management and customer service Regulations related to the purchasing, storage, and administration of medications Core Competencies Maryland regulations for Comprehensive Care and Assisted Living Problem solving and technical skills Leadership and team development Interpersonal, oral, and written communication Customer service excellence Planning, organizing, and initiative Professionalism, safety, and security Adaptability, dependability, and innovation Commitment to diversity, equity, and organizational support Computer Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Copilot
