As the Vice President of Transplant Services , you will serve as the executive leader responsible for the strategic direction, clinical integration, quality outcomes and financial performance of the hospital’s transplant enterprise. You will oversee the established Heart and Kidney Transplant programs while spearheading the design, regulatory approval, and launch of new solid organ programs (e.g., Liver, Lung, or Pancreas). You will also lead the Advanced Heart Failure service, including the clinic services and outreach program.

- Provide oversight for areas of responsibility to ensure achievement of goals.
- Oversee the development and continuous improvement of services, policies, processes, and programs. Provide leadership to management within areas of responsibility.
- Oversee operations, budget, financial targets, and human resources management.
- Formulate and implement operational strategies and initiatives.
- Direct, evaluate, and monitor performance of assigned areas of responsibility to ensure the delivery of services meet cost, quality, safety, and experience requirements to achieve operational goals.
- Strategic Growth & Program Expansion: Lead strategic growth initiatives for transplant programs, including de novo service line development, market expansion for Heart and Kidney referrals, and p artner with Research and Academic Affairs to integrate cutting-edge perfusion technologies and clinical trials into standard practice.
- Operational & Clinical Excellence: Oversee operational and clinical excellence across the transplant continuum, ensuring full regulatory compliance, optimizing patient outcomes, and overseeing the entire patient journey.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage the transplant cost center, including the Medicare Cost Report, negotiate favorable terms with OPOs and third party payers for global transplant bundles, partner with the Foundation to secure donor funding for transplant specific research and patient support services.
- Leadership and Culture: Foster multidisciplinary collaboration and recruit & retain world-class transplant clinicians
Education:
- Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 4 of those years being in leadership/management.
- Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration (MHA), MBA, or MSN
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive leadership in a high-volume transplant center
- Proven track record of successfully launching at least one new solid organ program
- Deep familiarity with the National Organ Transplant Act (NOTA) and the Final Rule
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to lead brilliant, high-stakes clinical personalities
