About the role: Chief Medical Officer - Previous Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer experience a plus. Psychiatrist background a plus Location: Christiansburg, VA (Close to Roanoke and Blacksburg!) - Travel to our other local sites will be required. Mon - Fri Schedule: 40hr week. The Chief Medical Officer is responsible for providing patient care, working with and overseeing providers and clinical staff to ensure quality outcomes Work with medical, behavioral health and dental providers and management to maintain Center policies, procedures and protocols. Ensuring Center compliance with Federally Qualified Health Center requirements including responsibility for meeting Clinical Performance Measures. This position is 50% administrative and 50% serving patients. Strong community mission serving uninsured/Medicaid populations 21 total providers across Primary Care, OB/GYN, Dental, and Behavioral health Performs all functions as a family physician in providing direct care to patients Participates in and leads morning team huddles, meetings and quality improvement initiatives; Responsible for annual staff evaluations, disciplinary actions and other human resource activities related to supervisees.
