Health Program Coordinator
Senior & Community Center Programs
Help improve the health and well-being of seniors and community members through meaningful wellness initiatives.
This is responsible, specialized, and professional work developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive wellness and mental health education programs for participants in City senior, service, and community center programs. The position operates with considerable independent judgment and initiative, with results evaluated through reports, conferences, and achievement of objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate wellness and mental health education programs
- Provide individual medical assistance to help participants coordinate care (e.g., medication management)
- Maintain participant health-related files
- Create and distribute wellness calendars and public relations materials
- Manage program budgets, including grant funds and reporting
- Coordinate volunteers and participate in community outreach
- Develop partnerships with health and social service providers
- Represent Senior Services at outreach events and make presentations to seniors and community organizations

Minimum Training & Experience
Registered Nurse: Possession of an Associate's degree in nursing and three years of professional nursing experience.
Mental Health Counselor: Possession of a Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy, and three years of professional counseling experience. Preference may be given to a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Necessary Special Requirements
Registered Nurse: Must be licensed in the State of Florida.
Salary Range
$21.6689 to $58.7999/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $38.9781/hour.
Driver's License Requirements
Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.
