Patient Service Representative I

Under general supervision answers incoming calls from customers to schedule appointments, answer questions, troubleshoot problems, and provide information. Obtains all pertinent information from callers to assist in ensuring a positive experience over the phone and for a smooth and efficient visit to the clinic.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Perform patient scheduling, registration, messaging, and customer service duties.
  • Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage, data entry.
  • Identify and escalate priority issues.
  • Route calls to appropriate resource.
  • Follow up on customer calls where necessary.
  • Document all call information according to standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

2 years of college or an Associate Degree

Experience:

2 years of customer services experience. In lieu of education requirements, experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

Employment in this role may be contingent upon extramural funding and successful performance and may be terminated or reduced in percentage of appointment if such funding is not secured or ceases to be available.

It is MSM's Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption.
