Job Description:

  • Ensures that all documentation meets hospital requirements and is current and accurate. Including but not limited to licensure, certifications and professional liability insurance for practitioners.
  • Maintains accurate and current records for all applicants, including electronic databases and paper files.
  • Prioritizes multiple department tasks and projects to ensure they are completed in the required time frames and is able to deal with multiple tasks and interruptions with minimal supervision.
  • Provides administrative and technical support for medical staff committees and departments.
  • Applies problem-solving, analytical skills, and effective communication to address issues and provide solutions.
  • Collects and analyzes information received from applicants, pursuing additional information as necessary.
  • Assist with processing Medical Staff, Advanced Practice Providers, Clinical Assistants and Student and Resident applications in compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal and negotiation skills in interactions with applicants and stakeholders.
  • Triage patient and physician satisfaction concerns in a timely manner, assuring they have been thoroughly addressed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of medical terminology [Required]
Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite and database management [Required]

Education:
Associate [Preferred]
Bachelor's [Preferred]
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:
or GED

Work Experience:
1+ credentialing/medical staff related experience [Preferred]
Previous administrative support experience [Preferred]
