General Summary Responsibilities include managing the daily operations, work activities and staff schedules to provide high quality, cost-effective patient care.# Responsible for employee performance management, office space and equipment maintenance, staff scheduling relative to patient volume, collaboration on developing, monitoring and improving operational processes and maximizing opportunities to meet and exceed budget expectations.# The Orthopedic Office Manager assists in coordinating appropriate staff coverage optimizing facility occupancy to create an ideal patient and customer experience Building provider/ancillary schedule templates The Orthopedic Office Manager develops, implements and ensures adherence to organizational processes and workflows that support optimal patient care in a multidisciplinary setting. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation. Acts as a role model for the staff Promotes and fosters team work Ensures staff are informed of and comply with written policies and procedures Responsible for submitting payroll accurately Ordering necessary supplies for office and clinical functions Interviewing, hiring, orienting, evaluating staff and, when necessary, personnel disciplinary actions Responsible for accurate submission of banking and deposits Responsible for conducting 90-day and yearly staff performance appraisals Addresses patient complains or issues that arise Monitoring operational or financial reports on a weekly and/or monthly basis Conduct routine staff and provider meetings Attend strategic and operational meetings as requested #Minimum Requirements Bachelor#s Degree in health care or business administration preferred 3-5 years of office/ practice manager experience in a multiple physician Orthopedic/Surgical#practice setting Excellent organization skills and superb customer service acumen Ability to think creatively and strategically and develop innovative solutions to challenging problems, excellent physician relations skills, Human Resources knowledge, ability to multi-task, provide exceptional attention to detail and handle a variety of patient issues and concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred Preferences Athena or EMR Experience Additional information To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in health care or business administration preferred
  • 3-5 years of office/ practice manager experience in a multiple physician Orthopedic/Surgical practice setting

  • Ability to think creatively and strategically and develop innovative solutions to challenging problems, excellent physician relations skills, Human Resources knowledge, ability to multi-task, provide exceptional attention to detail and handle a variety of patient issues and concerns in a professional and knowledgeable manner
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint preferred
