Director of Surgical Services - Interim

Reid & Associates is partnering with a large academic medical center in the Southwest to identify an Interim Director of Surgical Services.

The role oversees:

• General Surgery, Cardiovascular, Orthopedics, and PACU
• Approximately 150 staff across 14 inpatient OR suites
• Four direct-report managers
• Non-union environment

Ideal candidate brings:

• 10+ years of inpatient perioperative leadership
• Experience leading managers in a high-acuity or academic setting
• Strong physician relations and Lean process improvement background
• Master's degree and active RN licensure — Compact state preferred

This interim role includes standard employee benefits plus temporary housing and travel allowance for candidates coming from outside the area.
