High school diploma/GED plus 10-12 years of progressive revenue cycle experience, including leadership responsibility

  • 5-7+ years in healthcare revenue cycle, with:

Strong A/R and denial management focus

2-3+ years in leadership/management role

Analytics Management- Microsoft Excel

Experience with:

Professional and/or hospital billing

Managed care and payer contract interpretation

Skills:

Advanced analytics and reporting (Excel, dashboards, KPIs)

Strong knowledge of:

CPT/ICD-10 coding

CMS regulations

Commercial payer rules

Leadership and change management

Vendor performance management

  • JOB SUMMARY
  • The Revenue Cycle A/R Manager is responsible for leading third-party accounts receivable (A/R) functions across the healthcare revenue cycle, with a focus on optimizing cash collections, reducing days in A/R, and minimizing denials. This role oversees internal staff and/or third-party vendor performance to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for professional and/or facility claims.

The Manager partners with clinical, operational, and finance leadership to identify revenue leakage, improve workflows, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer regulations. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, leadership presence, and deep expertise in revenue cycle operations, including billing, coding, denial management, and payer relations.
