Referral Specialist/Scheduler

Job Profile Summary As directed by the Physician(s), advanced practitioner(s) and/or RN/LPN(s), responsible for performing pre- and post- procedure scheduling functions for office patients. Coordinate and organize appointments and documentation to facilitate the smooth running of the office and support delivery of quality patient care. Schedule: Monday through Friday, Days (40 hours per week) Responsibilities: Impact on Physician/office efficiency and operating costs Accurately completes pre- and post- procedure scheduling functions and communicates with appropriate representatives, completing any necessary pre-certifications and/or forms as they relate to patient care Coordinate scheduling and referrals to healthcare providers and services Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers Follows procedures for proper processing of all referral services Maintain website access per commercial insurance and Medicaid for staff if applicable #LI-DNI As the only locally owned, not-for-profit health system in the area, Freeman focuses on meeting the health and wellness needs of those we serve as well as the needs of our employees.
