General Information Department Imaging Services Wood River Hospital Flr 1 Position Type Full-Time Shift Day Job ID 153330 City Ketchum State ID Category Admin/Clerical/Customer Support Description & Requirements The Patient Access Specialist 3 is responsible for responding to patient, provider, and department/ser vice area needs with a high emphasis on customer service and accuracy. This includes, but is not limited to, registration, complex scheduling, referral coordination, benefit verification, preauthorizati on, order transcription and general inquiries from patients, providers and the general public. Shift Details: Monday-Friday ~8am-5:30pm (variable between times) What you can expect from this role: * Registration, scheduling, and referral coordination for patients * Discussions on financial options and/or explanations of insurance coverage, including a uthorizations, verifications, and estimates * Use a variety of technologies, tools and resources to support departmental workflows * Serves as a role model, mentor, trainer and/or resource to coworkers * Other duties as assigned Minimum qualifications for this role: * Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. * Experience: 2 years relevant experience.
