AHL HealthCare Group is seeking a full-time Clinical Director to oversee our Brainerd House IRTS facility located in Duluth, MN near the UMD and St. Scholastica campuses. Our IRTS (Intensive Residential Treatment Services) is a 90-day program that serves individuals looking for mental health co-occurring disorder treatment.

Hours of Position:

Full-time

Typical hours are Monday - Friday but this role does require flexibility with hours depending on the needs of the program

Some on-call required

Compensation:

$70,000-$80,000 annually depending on experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide clinical supervision and oversight to employees delivering Mental Health and Positive Support Services

Conduct diagnostic assessments

Consult on appropriateness of referrals to the program with the Registered Nurse

Oversee and approve Individual Treatment Plans, Functional Assessments, admission documents (Columbia, Risk Assessment, Assessment of Immediate Needs, Substance Use Assessment), Level of Care Assessments, and other required documentation assuring person-centered programming

Provide education and training to employees and caregivers

Review daily documentation and provide feedback and revisions to meet DHS standards

Actively facilitate and participate in team meetings

Direct programming and support staff in conducting service delivery to meet the client's level of behavioral, emotional, and physical needs including working 1:1 with clients, leading groups, assisting with independent living skills, etc.

Review policies and procedures and make revisions as needed

Oversee licensure requirements including reading and applying DHS statues and maintaining DHS standards for program

Assure compliance with 245I standards

Work collaboratively with Registered Nurse whose license oversees medical portion of program

Participate in the overall program evaluation process; ensuring goals are being met and identifying needs of the program

Qualifications:

Must qualify as a Mental Health Professional

A registered nurse who is licensed under sections 148.171 to 148.285 and is certified as a: (i) clinical nurse specialist in child or adolescent, family, or adult psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national certification organization; or (ii) nurse practitioner in adult or family psychiatric and mental health nursing by a national nurse certification organization OR

A licensed independent clinical social worker as defined in section 148E.050, subdivision 5 OR

A psychologist licensed by the Board of Psychology under sections 148.88 to 148.98 OR

A physician licensed under chapter 147 if the physician is: (i) certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; (ii) certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry; or (iii) eligible for board certification in psychiatry OR

A marriage and family therapist licensed under sections 148B.29 to 148B.392 OR

A licensed professional clinical counselor licensed under section 148B.5301

Additional Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write and speak English in a fluent manner

Ability to communicate with clients in a variety of creative ways

Must possess sight/hearing senses, or use of prosthetic services that will enable senses to function adequately

Ability to make independent decisions based upon standard policies and procedures
