Duties & Responsibilities

New York City Health + Hospitals (New York, NY) seeks to hire a Clinical Business Analyst Level II. This position works to collect and aggregate data from EHR/Epic registries, performing data analysis to inform and improve project planning and performance improvement opportunities. The Clinical Business Analyst Level II is responsible for supporting the reporting and analytic needs of Chronic Disease & Prevention team. This position requires an understanding of healthcare data (e.g. medical, clinical, and provider), and operations, coupled with an extensive knowledge of large data set development. Provide quantitative data analysis methodology, and analytical tools for reporting. The Clinical Business Analyst Level II routinely supports business decisions and operational processes with frequent interaction with other key team members across the organization and provides recommendations, guidance, and support for all data needs.

Specifically, the duties are:

Merge, manipulate, summarize and analyze multiple complex datasets (e.g., clinical, scheduling, administrative, pharmacy)

Analyze data to identify performance gaps, evaluate clinical and public health programs, and inform performance improvement projects.

Create, field test and refine data tools (e.g., actionable patient line lists) for clinical staff and population health management staff across Health + Hospitals facilities.

Aggregate data from various clinical systems for reporting requirements and structuring data to be loaded to a data warehouse, create summary reports for senior leadership, Health + Hospitals facility staff, external stakeholders, grant applications, grant reporting requirements, and agency- and peer-reviewed publications.

Design complex reports to support a variety of functions and maintaining programs to perform analyses and generate both routine and ad hoc reports.

Train and support clinical staff on how to use data/reports provided by Chronic Disease team, data validation, debugging and report management.

Develop exception reporting and drill down analyses to proactively identify specific variances in month to month Chronic Disease metrics.

Work collaboratively across departments to understand the needs of the organization in relation to analytic needs.

Manage technical and functional patient outreach workflow in Epic environment from clinical/end user to data extraction from Epic data tools.

Maintain enterprise level standardization including optimization requests and be able to govern data holistically.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field required. The successful candidate must also have 12 months experience in the following:

An analyst role

SQL

Micro Strategy

R Machine Language

JIRA.
