Reporting to the COO with a dotted line to Pathology leadership, this role ensures highquality, compliant, and fiscally responsible laboratory operations aligned with BILH system goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead daytoday and strategic operations for all laboratory departments and sitesEstablish and execute departmental goals focused on quality, safety, efficiency, and patient satisfactionDevelop, manage, and monitor operating and capital budgets, productivity metrics, and financial performanceEnsure regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness (CAP, TJC, CLIA, FDA, DPH)Serve as Laboratory Technical Director or designate per CAP requirementsOversee recruitment, retention, performance management, and professional development of laboratory leaders and staffPartner with Pathology, clinical leaders, and system stakeholders to evaluate testing needs and implement new services and technologiesRepresent laboratory services on hospital and system committees and initiativesMaintain strong vendor, supply chain, and contract management oversightPromote a culture of safety, service excellence, and BILH We Care valuesQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related discipline requiredMaster's degree or Medical Technology degree preferred8-10 years of hospital laboratory experience, including 5+ years in progressive leadership rolesSkills & CompetenciesProven healthcare leadership and operational expertiseStrong financial, analytical, and regulatory knowledgeEffective communicator and collaborator across interdisciplinary teamsProficient with laboratory information systems and Microsoft OfficeWorking ConditionsMinimal supervision; high degree of autonomyPotential exposure to bloodborne or infectious materials in accordance with standard precautions Pay Range: $155,000.00 USD - $185,000.00 USDThe pay range listed for this position is the annual base salary range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
