Patient Service Specialist: Pain Management | MaineHealth

Location: Kennebunk, ME (with flexibility to cover in Sanford, ME)

Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM-5:00 PM (per diem)

Type: Full-time, onsite.

Are you a detail-oriented professional with experience in medical clerical work? Pain Care is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Specialist to join our team in Kennebunk, with occasional coverage in Sanford.

About the Role:

As a Patient Service Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering a high-quality experience for our patients by managing front desk responsibilities, supporting providers, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily administrative tasks.

• Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM- Per Diem

• Primary Location: Livewell Dr. Kennebunk, ME

• Secondary Location (as needed): June St. Sanford, ME

Qualifications:

1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

2. License/Certifications: N/A

3. Experience: Six months of medical office experience required

4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A

5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Proficient computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome and check in patients, ensuring accurate and complete registration

• Schedule and confirm appointments

• Verify insurance and collect copayments

• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately

• Support clinical staff with administrative needs

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
