The role you'll contribute:

Manages the reappointment process of all members of the medical staff, including updates to credentialing database and privileges; Manages alignment and reinstatement process for medical staff appointees; manages additional privileges for Allied Health Professionals. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you'll bring to the team:

Coordinates with Credentials Verification Organization for medical staff reappointments and Allied Health renewals as scheduled on approved schedule and as outlined in bylaws and department rules and regulations, including issuing of application packets, gathering of all required information, verifications, reviewing and assessing compliance, through completion of Board approval prior to the expiration of each individuals reappointment period.

Assists department chairmen in reviewing applications in conformance with bylaws and department rules and regulations in preparation for presentation to Credentials Committee, or Allied Health Professional Review Panel and gathers all additional requested information.

Performs recredentialing and verification of other entity providers for whom delegated credentialing is provided, in accordance with said entities policies, and within their required deadlines on the same schedule as the medical staff as far as possible.

Expirables Manages expirables such as licensure, DEA certification, Board Certification, financial responsibility/malpractice insurance, PPD testing, life support certification, and others as may be determined for medical staff and allied health professionals on a monthly basis according to the Policy on Appointment, Reappointment and Clinical Privileges, the Policy on Allied Health Professionals, and standard operating procedures.

Assists in Medical Staff office functions, including meeting logistics, recording and preparation of meeting minutes. Records and maintains medical staff office documentation

Coordinates with Business Development, Human Resources, Informatics, and other departments in facilitating onboarding and access for incoming providers.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed :

Minimum qualifications :

Associates Degree

5 years of experience in Hospital Credentialing or Medical Staff Services

Experience with Credentialing software

Preferred qualifications:

Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)

Certified Medical Professional Services Management (CPMSM)

Bachelor's Degree
