Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: This position performs a variety of functions that are crucial to the efficient and seamless experience of the patient, physician, and physician office staff with our perioperative department. Position Purpose Responsible for working with multiple physician practices and hospital departments. Scheduling patients for surgery and for H&P for clearance. Do scanning, checking patients in and out. Constant and professional communications with other offices & Vendors and patients. Very busy medical office support in all areas. What you will do Schedule surgical cases obtaining accurate procedure, demographic and insurance information Support PASS nurses as needed with administrative tasks Obtain medical documents and/or assure patient records are prepared in a timely manner Perform OR charge reconciliations and prompt follow-up to assure timely release of bill Manage all forms and references for physician offices and assure ISO compliance of records Updates/revisions to the Surgeon Office reference Visit all new surgeon offices and provide them with orientation to our unit Run statistical reports for management's business purposes Minimum Qualifications High School Graduate or equivalent; College degree preferred 1-3 years Healthcare office experience Medical terminology preferred Ability to deal with physician office staffs and ancillary department staff Position Highlights and Benefits Full time 40hrs M-F Great benefits and Health Insurance Coverage Ministry/Facility Information Saint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
