As a Automation Process Technician II for Kohler Co., you will be an ambassador of the Kohler brand and the Vikrell product line. In this role, you will troubleshoot scrap and rework, monitor ACS, robotics, press and tooling. You will work with associated control systems throughout the plant. The Automation Technician I - Process have a minimum of two years' experience tooling, quality, maintenance production or other related area and are willing to learn and adapt to Company needs.
Crafting Excellence: Your Responsibilities
Troubleshoot scrap and rework
Monitor the automation cell including ACS and robotics. Make adjustments as needed to optimize production.
Monitor the molding operations to ensure the press and tooling is performing at proper specification levels.
Maintain proper temperature ranges for the tooling by using the die temperature control system.
Perform and authorize any parameter changes needed for each press assigned.
Create any deviations needed and communicate to production management so changes can be implemented.
Troubleshoot and assist any issues related to the installed tooling.
Coordinate support from the maintenance or engineering teams as needed.
Maintain documentation and log for deviations or parameter changes.
Work closely and coordinate with the Production, Scheduling and Purchasing teams on all project-related support responsibilities and activities
Adhere to safety and 5s plant culture
Perform other plant support as directed by the supervisor.
Maintain training on all applicable SOPs, LOPs, policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
As an Automation Technician for Kohler Co., you will be an ambassador of the
Kohler brand and the Vikrell product line. In this role, you will maintain and
troubleshoot robotic equipment and associate control systems throughout the
plant. Experience with Fanuc robots and Allen Bradley PLC is required. The
Automation Technician also contributes to plant-wide controls support of
PLC's, VFD's calibrations and safety control systems. You will be an ideal
candidate if you are an experienced automation controls or robotic
professional and are willing to learn and adapt to company needs.

Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience (3+ years)
with the installation, frequency, drive, and troubleshooting of electrical
systems. Have previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing
environment.
A strong work ethic that includes the ability to work 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts
while sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting.
Physical ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or
without reasonable accommodation.
A willingness to help with activities that may be outside of your job scope,
especially as plant operations transition from the construction/set-up
phase to the final go-live phase.
The flexibility to change shifts as the plant moves into future phases of
production and operability.
Employment will be subject to a demonstrated maintenance competency
via a standardized knowledge check.
Preferred Qualifications
An associate degree in Electro-Mechanical technology or similar field of
study.
Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
A natural ability for problem-solving and continuous improvement in the
