We're looking for a data-driven Demand Planning Analyst to help forecast title performance, optimize inventory, and ensure our books are always available when readers want them. 1-3 years of experience in Inventory Planning/Operations or degree in pertinent field.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Manage inventory levels of backlist for the Simon & Schuster and Scribner imprints
+ Review monthly sales title by title, make printing/pricing recommendations, prepare agenda, and hold weekly reprint meetings with Associate Publishers
+ Review and update the inventory system used to track backlist inventory and sales
+ Review daily large orders and make allocation and reprint recommendations
+ Review active reprints to ensure timely delivery and prioritization
+ Order priority reprints as needed
+ Send warehouse requests for inventory moves and dispositions
+ Create, update, review and send out daily and weekly inventory reports
+ Request updates and changes to title data with the Title Maintenance group
+ Departmental supportincluding running daily and weekly reports
