Day (United States of America) Job Summary: The Business Analyst oversees project teams to ensure the visibility/transparency of the project among its members and management as well as ensuring client specifications are met. Defines the requirements and Clinical solutions to resolve business-related problems, administer control of records and meet strategic organizational goals. Serves in the role in the selection, implementation and support of new and existing clinical support hardware/applications.This position may include planning and recommending acquisition of new hardware and software applications or devising ways to apply existing system resources to additional operations.Maintains project activities and continuity of project in the temporary absence or the assigned direction of the Technical communication Manager. Contributes to the planning and implementation of enhancements and upgrades to WellStar's IT systems as assigned.Responsible for coordinating the implementation of new projects and upgrades to existing systems, software, hardware and platforms throughout the enterprise.Supports critical clinical business strategies by managing the installation, maintenance and repair of clinical communications network equipment as applicable. The position requires a high school diploma, Bachelor's Degree or alternate Advanced Certification with relevance to the area of focus, and at least seven (7) years of experience in the field will be considered. Familiarity with a variety of Project Management concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to develop, plan and accomplish goals/tasks defined. Performs a variety of tasks, including coordination of the work of others included in project implementation. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Provide System reliability support and issue support for multiple clinical technology services. Patient call systems, Tele Medicine programs, Enterprise notification systems, Real time location systems, Medical refrigeration temperature Monitoring, Hand Hygiene, Staff and Equipment location systems. This position will report to the Technical Communications Manager. Will be Required to Complete all other duties as assigned.Project ManagementHardware/Software relocation, replacement, configuration, issue resolution, Device re- certification and implementation of additional services and technology.Provide on Call Support and Scheduled Upgrades and Operating patching. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Identification of Operational Project Requirements* Performs feasibility analysis, scopes projects, and works with the project management team to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.* Evaluates new hardware and software products, systems, patches and enhancement packs for the technical communications environment, including Nurse call workflows/firmware/software patching support/networking as applicable.* Acts as a technical resource to users of systems within assigned business area and facilitates process improvement discussions with customer and/or project teams* Define Clinical/Operational Requirements based on current and/or desired work flow* Ability to have meaningful discussions regarding operational needs with senior level stake holders and executive leadership* Analyze service issues and provide resolutions and apply best practice suggestions to prevent reoccurring issues.Requirements Gathering & Documentation* Facilitates meetings and/or design sessions to validate, prioritize, and document specific requirements for application enhancements and/or new development.* Develops time schedules, conversion, and test procedures for all aspects of a system implementation, from manual handling through computer processing.* Prepares and maintains documentation, including procedures, system specifications, technical documentation, computer training materials and user manuals in compliance with legal and regulatory authorities and records management best practices.* Assesses and participates in the planning of IT product life cycle - projects; determine project implementation plans; participate in overall strategic planning.* Contributes to the development of standards and procedures as related to projects/products.* Proactively tracks projects including milestones, risks, status and coordinates change of project schedule and scope as applicable.* Tracks project equipment from receiving to installation and makes the necessary changes in the current Inventory Tracking System.* Ensures the appropriate Change Management forms have been submitted and approved in relation to technical project components.* Schedules the sub-contracting and identifies any special requirements on the job and communicates to the sub-contractor(s) accordingly.* Inspect and monitor work of contractors to ensure that the quality and workmanship meets standards* Ensures smooth coordination and turnover of projects both at the initial stage and project end/conclusion and transition to customer and staff specialist. Provides all relevant documentation for transition/conclusion of project end to operational support.* Maintains communication links with appropriate areas of IT and customers; includes opening, updating, and documenting resolutions in the project management systemProcess Improvement & Workflow Management.* Proactively gather information regarding business processes for review and analysis by a Process Improvement team.* Create documentation, and diagrams to assist in the analysis of a process.* Develop the workflow to integrate and automate the defined solution.* Estimates resource and record management requirements and creates plans, timelines, milestones, user approvals, charts and reports for use in managing an assigned project.* Develops time schedules, conversion, and test procedures for all aspects of a system implementation,Enhance professional growth and development through education programs, workshops or other educational opportunities that may be presented. Assists in the training of staff. Keeps abreast of current events.* Responsible for staying current with system wide IT initiatives thru attendance and/or involvement in all relevant forums.* Demonstrates the ability to learn and improve troubleshooting skills by actively participating in education programs.* Attends regular departmental and Town Hall meetings and promote/exemplify excellent customer service as aligned with WellStars Standards of Gold.* Creates training documentation that is user friendly, detailed and precise.Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
