Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose The Front Desk Representative is the person who controls the patient and workflow at the clinical site for Same Day Surgery. What you will do Greets patients/visitors to the medical practice in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner, and ensures that the wait period is comfortable. Schedules patient appointments for the practice and patient referrals. Processes calls to ensure patients/customers are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner. Assists with the preparation of grant information and materials Prepares and maintains patient's medical records. Obtains accurate registration and insurance information. Ensures all pre-certifications and referrals are done in a timely manner. Ensures immediate resolution of problems, concerns and complaints of patients, families, visitors, co-workers, medical professionals and the public. Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required. College coursework in the secretarial or medical sciences preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in a physician's office required, preferably in a similar capacity. Familiarity with medical terminology required.
