Our client is a major hospital. General Summary: Design, develop, code, test, debug, and document programming clinical applications to implement and sustain Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and to satisfy requirements of one or more user areas. Works directly with Application Analysts, clinic administration, and medical staff to answer questions, set expectations, plan, design, build, and implement products and services to meet the users* and enterprise*s EMR needs. Consults on process evaluations and workflow redesign efforts, coordinates clinical content customization, and delivers training to end-users. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist with the planning, installation, and management of a shared clinical information system across hospital users. Provide production support for the EPIC EMR during off hours. 2. Ensure timely completion of tasks and deliverables within the project plan. 3. Consult with administrative and clinical staff to assess, plan, and design the user configurations, workflow, product setup, clinical content customization work (standards & conventions) and computing environment needs. 4. Develop and program forms, reports, surveys, queries, macros, scripts, print groups, and other highly technical aspects of system implementation, maintenance, and integration. 5. Work closely with the clinic managers, and computer vendors on hardware, networking, and software related issues. 6. Maintain strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and analysis skills. Capable of providing support and encouragement to organizations undergoing change. 7. Participate and support clinics before, during, and shortly after go-live. 8. Maintain a regular follow-up schedule to assess current and future customer support needs particularly with regard to modules specifically developed by you. 9. Actively participate in the Project task management system maintaining a timely, productive, collegial level of communication and collaboration. 10. Understand and use appropriate software and tools, such as the implementation guide, to facilitate implementation tasks. Continually refine and develop the guide in both content and technical functionality. 11. Support the interface pre-loading activities and application upgrade testing. 12. Provide assistance in the definition, plan, and evaluation of EMR strategies, including the Return on Investment (ROI) Value Assessment. 13. Keep informed of system developments with the institution and affiliates as well as within the industry and related vendor realm. 14. In all job
